What is it like to jump straight from school to the entrepreneur's everyday life? How to combine study and entrepreneurship? What role is it in finding just the right team? And what are the benefits of the network in supporting career development?
At JES Business Evening, you will hear the answers to these questions and get to know business extensively through various company guests. We will get to know three companies when we have Ilari Ojansuu and Minna Sarén from the EY, Elias Mäkinen from Höyrymedia and Samuel Latvanen from the Asiantuntijastudio. This event will be carried out in cooperation with the Pörssi, Dumppi and Konkurssi.
After the company presentations, we will also hear a few words about Economists and Tekniikan Akateemiset TEK, and after the official part, there will be a relaxed rumble and hanging out at the snacks. Welcome to learn about entrepreneurship and network across subject boundaries!
EY - Ilari Ojansuu & Minna Sarén Ojansuu works as a management consultant in the EC Finance Consulting team and is an alumnus of Dumppi. Sarén, on the other hand, is an Alumnus of the Exchange and serves as a management consultant on the EY Enterprise Risk Team. The EY is working to build a better functioning world and confidence in capital markets. Ojansuu and Sarén will talk about the salt of expert work, an entrepreneurial mindset in a large organization, and a global network of experts to support career development.
Höyrymedia - Elias “Mäksä” Mäkinen Mäksä is a new entrepreneur and social media content producer who graduated from the Team Academy in Christmas 2021, and whose TikTok views move in the millions. He works as an entrepreneur with two of his partners in Höyrymedia, which provides video and image services. Mäksä will tell the story of Höyrymedia and share his own experiences of entrepreneurship started during his studies.
Asiantuntijastudio - Samuel Latvanen Latvanen is a content strategist, Master of Science (Economics and Business Administration) and entrepreneur at the Expert Studio. The expert studio offers tools and strategies for showcasing expertise and know-how. In addition, Latvanen serves on the board of Myssyfarmi Oy, a Finnish, responsible design company. Latvanen has never worked as a stranger, but has always employed himself. He will talk about the daily life of a young and growth-minded entrepreneur and company - honestly and without embellishment.
